The Heat Pump works by ‘absorbing’ the ambient heat via its refrigerant fluid. Inside the pump, this liquid is circulated and compressed into a gas.The compression of the liquid into gas increases its temperature, and allows the gas to be cycled through your heating system to provide you warmth and hot water.
So how does it work?
Using its liquid refrigerant, the Air Source Heat Pump absorbs the ambient heat in the air.
The refrigerant liquid is then compressed, becoming a gas, and this is cycled through the heating systems of the home.
As the heat transfers, the gas is condensed again – back into the liquid refrigerant – allowing the process to continue.
