Did you know that you can pair your solar panels with battery storage to help you become a lot more energy independent?

I’ve been learning so much about solar and other renewable energies that you can get at home, and I used to be a bit
confused about solar panels because being in Scotland, I used to think well, the sun isn’t always shining directly, so do solar panels work? I also used to think well, in winter it gets dark at about 4:00 PM, so are we just wasting the opportunity with solar panels because it’s not sunny? And also what happens at night when the sun is definitely not out?

But one of the interesting things that people can now do is you can pair your solar panels with battery storage and it means that all throughout the day, and it doesn’t even need to be direct sunlight, even just daylight will be making energy on your solar panels, you can store that energy in a battery, using that energy later on in the day.

This means we can become more energy independent, generating our own electricity from our roof and then storing it in a battery for use at a later time. It means that we are less reliant on fossil fuels, which are a crazy volatile market, costing us an absolute fortune.

There’s loads of help that you can get when it comes to things like solar panels, lots of funding available and the
Greener Energy Group can help you with that. So if you’re interested in finding out more about how you can become
more energy independent and help us all generate more green and clean renewable energy, then please do check them out and find out the options available to you.
