Terms & Conditions for the Greener Energy Group & Octopus Energy Treasure
Hunt

1. Eligibility
   1.1. The competition is open to all residents of Scotland aged 18 and over.
   1.2. Employees of Greener Energy Group, Octopus Energy, their families, agents, or any third party
   directly associated with the administration of the competition are not eligible to participate.
   1.3. Participation in the competition is free and no purchase is necessary.
2. Prize
   2.1. The grand prize consists of a FREE Electric Car Charger and a Goodie Bag.
   2.2. The prize is non-exchangeable and non-transferable, and no cash or monetary alternative will
   be offered.
   2.3. The prize must be accepted as awarded and cannot be substituted for another product or cash
   value.
   2.4. In the event the winner’s property does not meet the technical requirements for installing the
   Electric Car Charger (e.g., lack of necessary power supply, infrastructure, or permission), the prize
   will be considered null and void, and no replacement or monetary compensation will be provided,
   otherwise you can nominate this to another family member.
   2.5. The winner must post a photo of themselves holding the hidden Octopus on their social media
   platforms, using the hashtag #GEGOctopusFound to claim the prize. Failure to do so may result in
   disqualification.
3. Competition Period
   3.1. The Treasure Hunt will begin on Monday, September 23rd, 2024, at 9 a.m. and will end on
   Friday, September 27th, 2024, at 3 p.m.
   3.2. Any claims made after the closing date will not be considered.
4. Winner Selection
   4.1. The winner will be the first eligible participant to find the hidden Octopus and post the required
   photo on social media using the specified hashtag.
   4.2. Greener Energy Group reserves the right to verify the eligibility and compliance of the winner
   before awarding the prize.
5. Installation Requirements
   5.1. The installation of the Electric Car Charger is subject to an initial site survey conducted by
   Greener Energy Group or its authorised agents.
   5.2. The winner’s property must meet all technical and safety standards required for the installation.
   This has to be installed on the residential property not any external buildings. This includes but is
   not limited to, necessary power supply, adequate space, and necessary permissions (if applicable).
   5.3. If the property fails to meet the necessary installation requirements, the prize will be forfeited,
   and no cash alternative or replacement prize will be offered.
6. Liability
   6.1. Greener Energy Group and Octopus Energy shall not be liable for any damages, losses, or
   injury sustained by participants as a result of entering the competition or accepting the prize.
   6.2. The companies are not responsible for any technical, hardware, software, or other problems that
   may occur before, during, or after the competition.
7. General
   7.1. By participating in the competition, entrants are deemed to have accepted and agreed to be
   bound by these terms and conditions.

7.2. Greener Energy Group reserves the right to amend or alter these terms and conditions or to
cancel the competition at any stage if deemed necessary.
7.3. The competition and these terms are governed by Scottish law, and disputes will be subject to
the jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.
